Account Executive   

About the job: The ideal candidate plays a key, proactive role in driving direct response fundraising and advocacy strategy through to completion for several clients. This person must effectively collaborate with our clients, creative and production partners, and analytics and support teams, to ensure the on-time execution of multiple concurrent projects. Proven direct response strategy and project management skills are essential to this position. This role requires exceptional strategy, creative and analytic skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, a maniacal attention to detail and working knowledge of the various production phases of direct mail marketing campaigns.

 

If you worked as an Account Executive, you could expect your day would consist of many of the following:

  • Provide management oversight of client direct marketing fundraising programs
  • Work with Account Coordinator and Account Lead to develop and execute, year-long direct marketing fundraising schedules
  • Work with clients to identify topics, issues, and projects for fundraising appeals
  • Create and review strategy document and annual plans with clients
  • Guide the production management and graphic design process for each client project
  • Proofing direct mail copy and art for consistency in branding and messaging
  • Work with various list brokers to develop lists of lists for acquisition mailings
  • Prepare periodic reports that evaluate programs with recommendations for improvements and additional work
  • Select segments of a membership/donor database for fundraising appeals
  • Draft appeal letters, and/or working with copywriters to draft letters
  • Translate direct mail marketing strategies into executable production specifications
  • Monitoring client deliverables and proactively working with clients to keep projects on schedule and on budget
  • Develop strategies to up-sell/cross-sell additional services to assigned clients
  • Travel several times a year to meet face-to-face with clients

 Account Manager 

Aboout the job: The ideal candidate is responsible for providing a wide variety of project and account management duties for our direct mail account teams.  This person is a “self starter” who can multi-task, working directly within a small but quickly growing team and numerous clients, managing various and concurrent projects. 

If you worked as an Account Manager, you could expect your day would consist of many of the following:

  • Manage day-to-day projects for client direct marketing fundraising programs
  • Support Account Executive or Senior Account Executive to execute year-long direct marketing fundraising schedules
  • Work with Senior Account Executives and clients to identify topics, issues, and projects for fundraising appeals
  • Draft strategy documents and budget approvals for individual projects
  • Lead production management and graphic design process for each client project
  • Proofing direct mail copy and art for errors, as well as for consistency in branding and messaging
  • Work with various list brokers to develop lists of lists for acquisition mailings
  • Prepare periodic reports that evaluate programs with recommendations for improvements and additional work
  • Select segments of a membership/donor database for renewal and appeal mailings
  • Draft appeal letters, and/or working with copywriters to draft letters
  • Translate direct mail marketing strategies into executable production specifications
  • Monitoring client deliverables and proactively working with clients to keep projects on schedule and on budget
  • Bidding projects to production partners and providing the Account Team with estimated costs for each job
  • Trafficking all client project work
  • Creating print, personalization and mailshop purchase orders

  • 4+ years relevant work experience
  • Agency experience is a huge plus!
  • Direct mail fundraising experience is ideal, although not required
  • Excellent organizational and project/time management skills – must be able to handle 15- 20 concurrent projects
  • Experience working with multiple vendors
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to independently establish work priorities
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


 Account Coordinator

Aboout the job: The ideal candidate works as a part of a team assisting with or leading many aspects of client work and project management. This is someone who both works well independently and is a strong team player. 

If you worked as an Account Coordinator, you could expect your day would consist of many of the following:

    • Monitor client deliverables and proactively keep projects on schedule
    • Draft preliminary strategy documents and client memos
    • Create package specifications and budgets, and bid out print jobs
    • Create purchase orders, personalization, and mailshop instructions 
    • Proof copy and art, and ensure timely approvals from client
    • Draft preliminary direct mail list orders and order internal mailing lists from clients
    • Perform regular client reporting
    • Gather information, coordinate and prepare client summary reports

    • 2+ years relevant industry work experience
