Account Executive
About the job:
The ideal candidate plays a key, proactive role in driving direct response fundraising and advocacy strategy through to completion for several clients. This person must effectively collaborate with our clients, creative and production partners, and analytics and support teams, to ensure the on-time execution of multiple concurrent projects. Proven direct response strategy and project management skills are essential to this position. This role requires exceptional strategy, creative and analytic skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, a maniacal attention to detail and working knowledge of the various production phases of direct mail marketing campaigns.
If you worked as an Account Executive, you could expect your day would consist of many of the following:
- Providing management oversight of client direct marketing fundraising programs
- Working with the Senior Account Executive to develop and execute, year-long direct marketing fundraising schedules
- Preparing and securing strategy document and budget approvals for individual projects
- Working with clients to identify topics, issues, and projects for fundraising appeals
- Drafting appeal letters, and/or working with copywriters to draft letters
- Travelling several times a year to meet face-to-face with clients
- Preparing periodic reports that evaluate programs with recommendations for improvements
- Working with various list brokers to develop lists of lists for acquisition mailings
- Selecting segments of a membership/donor database for fundraising appeals
- Guiding the production management and graphic design process for each client project
- Translating direct mail marketing strategies into executable production specifications
- Bidding projects to production partners and providing the Account Team with estimated costs for each job
- Proofing direct mail copy and art for errors, as well as for consistency in branding and messaging
- Trafficking all client project work
- Creating print, personalization and mailshop purchase orders
- Monitoring client deliverables and proactively working with clients to keep projects on schedule and on budget

- 7+ years relevant work experience
- Previous direct response fundraising experience
- Excellent organizational and project/time management skills – must be able to handle 15+ concurrent projects
- Superb attention to detail

- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
Analytics Coordinator
About the job:
The ideal candidate offers general support to the analytics team, helping to maintain and update our in-house database and reporting system and ensures the accuracy and completeness of the information in the reports. The Analytics Coordinator will also be the primary customer service representative for the Account Management teams, answering all analytics questions and escalating more difficult problems to other members of the Analytics team. The Analytics Coordinator will assist the Account Management teams in understanding our database system, particularly the set-up of projects and use of standard weekly reports. In addition, the Analytics Coordinator will perform simple analytic projects and collaborate in the completion of more complex analytic efforts and also serve as a back-up list processor and assist in the selection, transfer and update of outside data into the list processing and Flashcounts databases.
If you worked as an Analytics Coordinator, you could expect your day would consist of many of the following:
- Supervising weekly data updates
- Monitoring and answering all emails to Analytics within one half hour of receipt during normal working hours
- Troubleshooting and performing fixes to database and interface as needed
- Assisting in data uploads and transfers for database and list processing systems
- Creating summary reports in Excel from raw data, for analysis by other members of the Analytics Team
- Assisting in the development of ad hoc analytic reports
- Completing list processing orders as needed
- Participation in regular analytic team meetings
- Other projects as defined by the Director of Analytics
But, before you even think about applying, here’s what we need from you:
- 3-5 years’ experience in the following areas:
- SQL
- Excel, including the capability to create and manipulate pivot tables and write complex function - Familiarity with the following:
- PHP, JavaScript and Ajax
- (Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn) Crystal Reports, Raiser’s Edge, DonorPerfect, Salesforce or other software, in addition to familiarity with Linux text processing tools - Understanding of simple statistical methods, including significance testing
- Team player, able to work dynamically in a team environment
- Ability to independently establish work priorities
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to explain complex data and technological issues to an audience with varying levels of understanding
- Excellent organizational and project/time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
- Superb attention to detail
